This is a really important point about the necessity of interdisciplinarity, especially in medical education. It's so true that a strong foundation in research methodology, starting early in the curriculum, is key to developing capable professionals. I think often we silo subjects too much, and students don't see the connections. Thinking about visualising complex systems, imagine trying to model something like disease transmission through a cattle herd. To really understand that, you'd need genetics, statistics, epidemiology... you might even need something like a crazy cattle 3D simulation to visualise it all and make those connections tangible! Bringing that level of interactive exploration into the classroom could really drive home the importance of interdisciplinary thinking.
